My study of oriental Medicine began with a two year Physician mentored online program from a teaching hospital out of Beijing China where I delved into the theory of this ancient medicine. I then undertook a one year western bioscience program before entering and graduating from a three year program at The Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine in New Jersey. Since then I have completed my Doctoral studies in acupuncture from the prestigious Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego. I have studied over 4,700 hours deepening my understanding of this medicine. I am currently credentialed with the State of Maryland as a Licensed Acupuncturist in good standing.
In my practice I focus on musculoskeletal pain, gastrointestinal disorders, autoimmune disorders such as fibromyalgia, and stress and anxiety. However, with the whole-body approach of Chinese medicine every problem has the potential to be addressed. So, my practice is not limited on just those aspects mentioned above.
I have successfully treated fibromyalgia, gastroesophageal reflux disorder ( GERD ), chronic neck and back pain, and a variety of other issues.
When you come in for treatments with me you can expect a calm and relaxing atmosphere where you can unwind and immerse yourself in a peaceful healing environment. I listen attentively and provide feedback and treatment unique to each patient.
How I got involved with this type of medicine is quite a good story – be sure to ask me about it if you are interested!
